Comparing the Comprehensive and Basic

We offer two teaching guides for the hero’s journey: a comprehensive guide and a basic guide. The comprehensive guide, The Hero’s Journey: The Path of Transformation, contains up to seven weeks of lessons and more than 100 pages of resource material for teachers. The basic guide, The Hero’s Journey: Teaching the Basics, is an edited version of the comprehensive guide. This chart below will help you compare which of the two guides will suit your needs. Additional units from the comprehensive guide are available as supplements to the basic guide.
