Teacher's Guide to The Hero's Journey

The hero's journey is famous as the mythical pattern described by Joseph Campbell, but it's much more than that. The journey is a metaphor for the process that underlies all growth, learning, and self discovery ― the embodiment of what philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer called “the dialogue that we are.”

Here we explore the hero's journey in all its forms: as Campbell's monomyth or Carl Jung's archetype; as a tool for teaching and learning or a philosophy for finding your bliss. Whether you're exploring the journey as a tool for teaching or as a map to personal growth, we hope you will find our site of value.
